MEDIUM~
All timbers used are Environmentally-friendly, I choose to work with salvaged timbers from fallen trees and source all materials locally. This makes every piece unique. By using a variety of native and exotic timbers I am able to harness and reveal the hidden beauty in the grain figuration and enhance the sound quality.
PROFILE~
I was born in Australia, and grew up with a natural passion for working with timber. This eventually led to my curiosity in the Didgeridoo.
ORIGINS~
I developed a deep fascination for how the Indigenous people of Australia discovered how to breathe a continuous rhythm into a simple termited young eucalypt trunk. This led me to further explore the deep spirituality and awe inspiring healing power of the didgeridoo, traditionally known as the yidaki. Ever since, I have been on a journey of creative exploration which has led me to my present work. If you are interested please contact Grant at earthwindart@hotmail.com
MY VISION
My intention is to push my creative boundaries by combining my passion for the didgeridoo with sculpting timber. This gives me the freedom to engineer the sound quality by carving the inside tunnel. producing amazing back pressure and powerfull resonating didgeridoo's.
